The marquee was simple and elegant, decorated with beautiful wildflowers and lots of foliage/green touches. The guests began arriving and greeting Adam, and suddenly it all felt very real! After no time at all it was time for the ceremony. Adorned with fairy lights, candles and trees, Poplar Barn is the room Adam and Fay were married in. For the reception, family and friends filled the courtyard and pretty gardens- mingling, playing garden games and (trying) to make friends with the alpacas! They weren’t too keen. The goats on the other hand…
Anyway! This all made for a fun, informal atmosphere, with the added pleasure of music from the mariachi band, Mariachi El Mexicano. There were structural elements to the day too, such as the speeches, cake cutting and first dance. Lastly, we made the most of the last of the evening light by taking a few couple photos in the gardens and grounds. It was a delightful day (and gloriously sunny!) which I hope shows through the photos.
