Documentary newborn photography in Cambridge
I’m introducing a new style of newborn photography to the blog today. They are documentary newborn sessions and I’ve been offering them since the summer. Read on to find out more about my documentary newborn photography in Cambridge and beyond.
You can expect lots of natural, non-posed family photos with your newborn in your arms at your session. Everything is more relaxed during a documentary newborn session as we don’t need baby to fall asleep for any posed shots and we all know babies love snuggling into their parents arms. I also take photos of baby on their own either on a blanket or in their cot/moses basket during the shoot. During this time I also like capturing beautiful close up shots of their tiny features like little hands and feet and wispy baby locks.
Below are some photos of delicate little Celeste. I love the eye contact she has going on with her parents…oh and that shot where she is looking up at her dad with her tiny hand on his chin! That is what I love about documentary newborn sessions which you can’t achieve with the classic posed newborn shoots.
Some kind words from Muriel:
