At-home documentary newborn photographer Suffolk, based near Bury St Edmunds, also covering Essex, Cambridgeshire and beyond.
Documentary newborn photo-shoots take place in your home and focus on getting natural shots, of the connection between you and your baby and together as a family, as well as cute little details like tiny hands and feet. I am a newborn photographer Suffolk, but happily travel around the UK for baby cuddles!
“We thoroughly enjoyed our photography experience with Noor, our newborn daughter remained calm and relaxed during the shoot which enabled us to get some beautiful photos to treasure. Thank you Noor.” -Emma & Chris, parents to Alicia
“Oh my gosh, these photos are absolutely gorgeous!!! Thank you so much for just uploading the home shoot ones – it’s made our Friday night! Honestly Noor, I had tears in my eyes looking at them – you’ve captured Alice beautifully.”-Steph

Frequently asked questions
Will I be in the photos too?
Absolutely! This is at the heart of the documentary newborn photography I offer. You will never feel rushed, as I will take my time to ensure you look relaxed in the photos. They’ll be taken from a flattering angle, in good light, and the focus will be on the love you have for your little one(s). There is always one parent who is never in the shots as they are the one taking the photos all the time!
When your little one grows up they will get to see just how much you loved them. The photos will mark a beautiful new chapter in your lives.
Where are you based and are you willing to travel?
Based near Bury St Edmunds, I am a newborn photographer Suffolk however I frequently travel to parents in Essex, and Cambridgeshire. I am happy to travel further afield though a small travel fee may apply depending on your location. Please email me to find out: firstname.lastname@example.org
“Noor is super fast with communication, which is so important to me. She responded to emails within an hour. I loved that she came right to my house, as I had a csection and 2 weeks after the baby was born, cannot imagine trekking to a photo studio. She is very professional, took lots of time to get all the shots we wanted and I never felt rushed. She went until we were happy. Not to mention we were in my conservatory that was roasting hot and she was pregnant and never made one complaint! The shots she got were amazing and very high quality. The price was unbeatable and we had the [printing and sharing] rights to all the photos.”- Sarah, Mum to Nolan
When shall we contact you to book the session?
Please get in touch as soon as you know your due date so I can pencil you in. Once you have given birth you can contact me to arrange a date for the session. Of course you can contact me at anytime, even after your baby is born, as I may be able to squeeze you in at late notice.
How much does a newborn session cost?
There are different packages depending on whether you would like just a few photos or lots of photos. Each package includes my time and expertise on the day (approx. 1.5-2 hours, though there is never a rush) and professional editing of images… I spend a lot of time editing and perfecting the images to a high standard. Prices range from £150-350 for digital packages and extra images may be ordered afterwards if you wish (there is no hard sell or ‘viewing/ordering appointment’).
Do we need to prepare anything for the session?
Please just sit back and relax! I will bring everything I need with me. You are welcome to include any personal touches such as an heirloom blanket or a special teddy. Once you have booked me I will provide you with further information on how we can make the session run as smoothly as possible.
What age does my baby need to be for a newborn session?
Unlike posed newborn photo-shoots (where your baby should ideally be under 2 weeks old) for documentary newborn shoots, your baby can be a few weeks or even months old. However, those first few weeks are unbelievably precious, so I highly recommend getting in touch as soon as possible.
I also take baby photos at other stages, e.g. 3 months and 6 months. Please get in touch so we can discuss options.
Where will the newborn photo-shoot take place?
To confirm, the newborn session will take place in the comfort of your home. I usually start the session in the living room, but we can also take photos in the nursery, your bedroom and occasionally the garden when the weather is good.
Every single image in this gallery was taken in natural light (no studio lights or flash necessary).
How will we receive the images?
You will receive your high-res downloadable photos in a password protected online gallery. All packages include a license to share and print so you can make copies for personal use.
I personally recommend getting prints or an album as it beats scrolling through images on a computer any day! As you have the print license you are welcome to print the photos yourselves, or if you prefer I can provide high quality prints and albums available only to professional photographers.
If you like the natural, earthy style to my newborn photos please email me at email@example.com to book your session.
I would love to hear from you and hopefully photograph your lovely new family!
“She is so easy and helpful to work with. She understands what you are going through as she is a Mum herself and I could tell she genuinely cared about getting the shots we wanted.”- Sarah
“They’re really fantastic, thank you! I especially like some of the black and white versions…they look like something you’d see in a glossy magazine!
Thanks also for the whole photoshoot experience: you were so easy going and relaxed, which helped put us all at ease (even me, and I hate having photos taken).
We’re really looking forward to sharing these pics with family and friends,
Rebekah, Dave, Rose & Rupert x “
