Sussex Barn Norfolk Wedding Photography
The Alex’s wedding! You may remember I photographed Alex and Alex’s Holkham beach engagement shoot earlier on this year (click the link to see their stunning Holkham shoot and what to expect during an engagement shoot). The day started with a lovely drive up to Sussex Barn Norfolk. The Alex’s were both getting ready at The White House, opposite Sussex Barn. I had the pleasure of having my second shooter Sheetal Varsani come along to help throughout the day. (She does an amazing job of capturing photos at the back of the ceremony and reception candids while I’m shooting the group photos). While I documented bride Alex and her bridesmaids getting ready, Sheetal captured photos of groom Alex at the pub in Holkham, followed by guests arriving at the church.
One of my favourite moments of the day was when Alex’s father saw Alex walking down the stairs all ready in her dress. You can instantly see the see love, pride and admiration. Capturing these types of photos is why I love being a wedding photographer. Those little moments are photography magic!
The ceremony took place at St Withburga Church in Holkham. The church is situated on such a pretty spot, where you can see Holkham Hall from a distance. Now, I don’t usually post so many ceremony shots, but I couldn’t resist this time round. These two were just radiating happiness!
Lastly, I can’t end without mentioning the speeches. These were without a doubt one of the best speeches I have ever photographed. I actually had to stop myself from laughing to keep the camera still. For the sister of the bride speech, photos were put in envelopes at each table, to be opened during the speech. The photos were of Alex throughout the years. Afterwards, I heard so many people comment on how funny Frankie’s speech was- I couldn’t agree more! All in the name of sisterly love! Another hilarious speech came from the groomsmen. The guests read card prompts, listened to a funny (true!) story and had to guess which Alex the story was about. I think we learnt a lot during that half hour!
